Privacy policy

Dilectus is operated in India by AD Ventures (GST registered). For anything in this policy, contact us at contact@dilectus.co.in.

If you are a candidate (applying for a job, using the resume checker or resume builder, or saving your profile):

• your name, email address and phone number;
• your resume file and the information in it;
• details you give us when applying, such as current and expected compensation, notice period, location and experience;
• your answers to screening questions and skills assessments;
• interview availability and scheduling details;
• your job-alert and profile preferences; and
• feedback that a hiring company records about your application.

If you are an employer using the client portal: company and contact details, the names and email addresses of your team members, account credentials, your billing profile (such as legal name, address and GSTIN or other tax IDs), job postings, hiring feedback and payment records. Card, UPI and bank details are entered with our payment provider, Razorpay, and are not stored by us.

Technical data: your IP address (used for rate limiting and to prevent fraud and abuse), basic server logs, and the cookies described below.

• to provide our recruitment and screening services, including scoring applications against a role's requirements;
• to share your application with the company that posted the role you applied for;
• to schedule interviews and keep you informed about your application;
• to send service emails such as application updates, interview details, verification codes and invoices;
• to send optional emails you have chosen to receive, such as job alerts and interview-preparation guides — each includes a way to unsubscribe;
• to bill employers, issue GST invoices and meet our tax and legal obligations; and
• to keep the service secure and to prevent spam, fraud and abuse.

We use AI models provided by OpenAI to analyse resumes against job requirements, generate screening and interview questions, produce resume feedback and interview-preparation guides, and help draft job descriptions.

AI scores are advisory. On our managed plans, recruiters review shortlists before they are released, and every hiring decision is made by people at the hiring company. If you have concerns about an automated assessment, contact us at talent@dilectus.co.in.

Hiring companies. When you apply for a role, your application is shared with the company that posted it. On our ATS + Human Pre-Screening and Recruitment-as-a-Service plans, candidate details are shown to the company in anonymised form until we release a shortlist.

Service providers who process data on our behalf: OpenAI (AI processing), Razorpay (payments), Google Workspace (email delivery, resume and log storage, and interview calendar invitations), Supabase (database hosting) and Vercel (application hosting). Some of these providers process data outside India.

We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data where the law requires it.

We only use cookies that the service needs to work:

• Sign-in cookies (client_session, candidate_session and, for our staff, admin_session) keep you signed in.
• A preference cookie (dilectus-theme) remembers whether you chose light or dark mode.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. When you make a payment, Razorpay's checkout may set its own cookies.

We keep personal data for as long as we need it to provide the service, to meet legal obligations (for example, tax and invoicing records) and to resolve disputes. Incomplete application drafts expire after 24 hours. You can ask us to delete your data at any time; we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it.

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to access, correct, complete or erase your personal data, withdraw consent you have given, and nominate someone to exercise your rights. To make a request, email contact@dilectus.co.in (candidates can also use talent@dilectus.co.in).

Every optional email we send includes a link to unsubscribe.

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Client account passwords are stored only in hashed form, never in plain text, and access within a client workspace is controlled by team roles. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never see full card numbers.

Dilectus is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above; we will notify account holders of material changes. Questions, requests and grievances about your personal data are handled personally by the proprietor of AD Ventures, who runs Dilectus.
